What is a relationship? What does a relationship call for?
The most common definition (or what I think is a more common definition):
"To love the person for whom he or she is. To accept their flaws, no matter how big or small."Yeah. That's only half the story. What's the other half?
"To love someone is to be willing to change for that person, for the better."Uh huh. But this usually leads to:
"If you really love me, you would change for me."So doesn't that contradict the first clause? I mean, really. To love someone is to love them for who they are. Okay, fine. Maybe you could do away with those little bad habits of yours like picking your nose on the bus or train, or leaving the dishes in the sink and not giving a care in the world about them.
But what's the real limit to "loving someone for who they are" and "to change because you love that person"?
